Book Review2 (Rewrite)

Master Shifu goes to Po's house. Everyone is laughing.

'Now I understand,' Master Shifu says.

'Winter Festival is for family and friends.'

'Come in,' Po says. 'Thank you!' Master Shifu says.

'This Winter Festival is good!'(p.25)

I read a book, "KUNG FU PANDA HOLIDAY"


Po is a panda and he's very good at kung fu. He is the Dragon Warrior.
At Winter Festival, the Dragon Warrior gives a dinner at the Jade Palace so he has to choose the cook.

Po had to choose the cook and give the Golden Spoon to him.
At the Jade Palace, there were many cooks and they wanted to the Golden Spoon.

When the first cook, Wo Hop served meat to Po, Po saw his friends by accident and he said "Hello, Monkey." This made Wo Hop angry.

Po's dad was a cook and he wanted him to cook the dinner at the Palace.
So Po gave the Golden Spoon to his dad and said "You are the cook at the Palace dinner!"
Po's dad was very happy but he said "No!" He always cooked dinner at Po's house for family and friends.

"Now we don't have a cook for the dinner!"
"It's OK, I can cook.."

When Po was cooking in the kitchen, Wo Hop came in suddenly.
"You don't like my food!" He was angry. "I'm here to fight you!"
"Help me first!" Po said because he had a lot of problems.

"OK." Wo Hop and Po's friends helped him and they could finish preparing before the start of dinner.

"Very good," Master Shifu said. Everyone sat down but Po's dad was not there.
"I'm going home now." Po said. "Winter Festival is for family."

"Yes, Winter Festival is important for families."
The kung fu teachers were not happy at the Palace dinner.

Po was at home. His family and friends were there and everyone was happy.

Wo Hop and the kung fu teachers went to Po's house. "This is good," the teachers said.
Po gave the Golden Spoon to Wo Hop. "Thank you for your help."

"Winter Festival is for family and friends. This Winter Festival is good!"


In this story, the kung fu teachers at the Palace with Po's family and friends are contrasted and this point was more impressive for me.

Eating meal with family or friends makes me happy so I can understand the meaning of this phrase, "Winter Festival is for family and friends."
